What a difference half a day makes.

Ahh, winter in Utah. You never know what can happen, especially in late winter. In December and January, you know it will be cold, there will be some really cold spells, and there will be snow. But February is always a mixed bag.
So far this month we’ve had single-digit lows, snow, rain, lightning, wind, sun, and even temperatures in the 50s. A couple of days ago, this was what it looked like outside when I woke up. (At 8:30 a.m. Don’t judge me. I’m unemployed now.)

Backyard, looking southwest

Backyard, looking southeast

My two main thoughts were “Well, guess I won’t be venturing out today,” and “I should probably shovel the driveway, and that will suck.”
But since this is Utah in February, here’s what it looked like at 3:00 that afternoon.

Afternoon mud

What snow?

Shoveling the driveway was a snap! Sometimes procrastination does pay off.
I can hardly wait to see what crazy weather March brings!
